I am taking limited appointments as i renovate my home and build my new reloading room. I am still operating out of my current garage, so please look past any of the construction vehicles/mess that may be around.

Beginning with Precision hand-loading training, MJR Precision has become much more, focusing on the needs of the Long Range Precision rifle community and its competitors

How Did We Get Here?
I began hand-loading nearly 15 years ago. Like many new reloaders, I searched for classes, mentors, and structured training opportunities. I found very few.
Instead, I relied on manuals, online forums, and plenty of trial and error. I still remember the anxiety of firing my first hand-load, wondering whether I had made a mistake that could damage my rifle—or worse.
No shooter should have to learn that way.
Over the years, I've owned seven different presses, tested equipment from numerous manufacturers, and spent thousands of dollars learning what works, what doesn't, and what truly matters. While some lessons were expensive, every one of them contributed to a deeper understanding of precision shooting and ammunition development.
Today, my mission is simple: understand your goals, develop a path to achieve them, and help you make informed decisions about equipment, processes, and training.
I bring proven methods, practical experience, and a passion for teaching. Whether you're just getting started, pursuing competitive excellence, preparing for a hunt, or building a business in the shooting sports industry, I'd be happy to help.
Questions are always welcome. Conversations are free.
Let's discuss where you want to go—and build the plan to get you there.
It's not rocket science. Well, maybe it is a little.... I'm not saying that a caveman can do it, but if I can teach a toddler.... I can teach you as well. Micah has been helping me in my reloading room since before he was 18 months. One of his first words was "bullet". And if there was anything unsafe about doing it correctly, I would never have him down there with me. Think you can keep up with my little dude? I'm here to help.
I'll admit it—I’m a total gear hound, especially when it comes to precision hand-loading. I use only the best equipment from the industry's top innovators and manufacturers to ensure unmatched precision and consistency. I only buy American, Canadian, Japanese, and New Zealand made products. Nothing with Chinesium. Ever.
I fully support learning through books and videos—but that route often comes with a longer, pricier learning curve. With my setup, you don’t just watch—you do it yourself, using either your own tools (Inline Fabrication mount required) or my equipment, from entry-level to top-tier. It’s a hands-on way to build skill and test gear before investing.
General overview lesson (1 hr). Covers basic hand loading steps (brass sizing, chamfering, cleaning, priming, charging, and bullet seating with seating die) - the things you would do with a basic setup.
Includes two 1-hr sessions to teach the fundamentals of precision hand loading. Includes full brass prep (annealing, sizing, brass cleaning, primer pocket cleaning, trimming/chamfering/deburring), priming, charging, and bullet seating using an arbor press with seating force gauge (manual and/or robotic. I have different levels / price points of necessary equipment, depending on what you want to use.
Whether you are not getting the results you are looking for, or just want to accelerate your learning curve for this wonderful craft, I can continue to help.
Virtual lesson via platform of your choice so you can learn in your own reloading room. (1/2 hr increments). Also ask about packages / monthly memberships.
Let's be honest—firearm care and maintenance aren’t the most exciting or glamorous tasks, and they can be a bit of a hassle. If you don't have the time or energy for it, I'm here to help.
Includes mounting optic, level (at 100 yds), eye relief adjustment, ring screws torqued to spec and secured with blue loc-tite if desired (does not include rings or optics).
***As per New York State SAFE act, you MUST be in the presence of your rifle the full time that I perform services on it.
Payments can be made by check, Venmo, or Zelle. Arrangements must be made in advance.

I get more emails than I can count from my day job—so let’s skip the inbox overload and have a real conversation instead. It’s the best way for me to understand what you’re truly looking for and ask the right questions. That way, we can build a plan that gets you the results you want—quickly and efficiently.

People have inquired about the private rifle range that I am building on my property. This is for my personal use only. It is not available for rent, membership, or use in coordination with any services that MJR Precision provides. This will not change, so please don't ask..
